Numbers 4:44 Numbers 5:15

44 Even those who were numbered of them by their families were three thousand two hundred.

45 These were those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses.

46 All those who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the leaders of Israel numbered, by their families and by their fathers’ households,

47 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered to do the work of service and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting,

48 Even those who were numbered of them were eight thousand five hundred eighty.

49 According to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses they were numbered, everyone according to his service and according to his burden; thus they were numbered by him, just as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

CHAPTER 5

1 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel that they send out of the camp every leper and everyone that has a discharge and everyone who is unclean because of a dead person.

3 You shall send out both male and female; you shall send them outside the camp so that they will not defile their camp, where I dwell in their midst.

4 And the children of Israel did so and sent them outside the camp; just as Jehovah had spoken to Moses, so the children of Israel did.

5 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Speak to the children of Israel, When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit, so as to act unfaithfully toward Jehovah, and that person realizes his guilt,

7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have committed, and he shall make restitution according to its principal for his wrong and add to it one-fifth of it and give it to the one whom he has wronged.

8 But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution which is made for the wrong goes to Jehovah for the priest, in addition to the ram of the expiation, by which expiation is made for him.

9 And every heave offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present to the priest, shall be his.

10 And everyone’s holy things shall be his; whatever anyone gives to the priest, it becomes his.

11 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

12 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, If any man’s wife goes astray and acts unfaithfully toward him,

13 And a man lies with her and has sexual relations, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and she is undetected, and she is defiled, and there is no witness against her since she was not caught in the act;

14 And a spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she has defiled herself; or if a spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she has not defiled herself;

15 Then the man shall bring his wife to the priest and bring her offering for her, a tenth of an ephah of barley meal. He shall pour no oil upon it nor put frankincense on it; for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of remembrance, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
