2 John 1:3 — 3 John 1:11

3 ^aGrace, mercy, ^bpeace will be with ¹us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in ²truth and love.

4 I ¹rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children ^awalking in ²truth, even as we received ^3bcommandment from the Father.

5 And now I ask you, lady, not as writing a ^anew commandment to you but ¹that which we have had ²from the beginning, that we ^blove one another.

6 And this is ^alove, that we ^bwalk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you walk in ¹love.

7 For many ¹deceivers ^awent out into the world, those who ²do ^bnot confess Jesus Christ coming ³in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the ⁴antichrist.

8 ^1aLook to yourselves that you do not ²lose the ³things which we wrought, but that you may receive a full ⁴reward.

9 Everyone who ¹goes beyond and does not abide in the ²teaching of Christ does ^anot have God; he who abides in the teaching, he ³has both the Father and the Son.

10 If anyone comes to you and does ^anot ¹bring this teaching, do ^bnot receive ²him into your house, and do not say to him, ³Rejoice!

11 For he who says to him, Rejoice, ^ashares in his ¹evil works.

12 Though I have ^amany things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink, but I am ^1bhoping to be with you and to speak ²face to face that ³our ^cjoy may be made full.

13 The ¹children of your ^achosen ²sister greet you.

1 The ¹elder to ²Gaius the ^abeloved, whom I ^blove in ^3ctruthfulness.

2 Beloved, concerning ¹all things I ²wish that you may ³prosper and be in ⁴health, even as your ⁵soul ³prospers.

3 For I ¹rejoiced greatly at the brothers’ coming and ^atestifying to ²your steadfastness in the truth, even as you ³walk in ⁴truth.

4 I have no greater joy than these things, that I hear that my ^achildren are walking in the ^btruth.

5 ^aBeloved, you do ^bfaithfully in ¹whatever you have wrought for the brothers, and this for ^2cstrangers,

6 Who ^atestified to your ¹love before the ²church; whom you ³will do well to ^bsend forward in a manner ^4cworthy of God;

7 For on behalf of the ^1aName they went out, taking nothing from the ²Gentiles.

8 We therefore ought to ¹support such ones that we may become ^afellow workers in the ²truth.

9 I wrote something to the ¹church; but ²Diotrephes, who loves ³to be ^afirst among them, does not ⁴receive us.

10 For this reason, if I come, I will bring to remembrance his works which he does, ¹babbling against us with ²evil words; and not being satisfied with these, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and those intending to do so he forbids and ^acasts out of the church.

11 Beloved, do not ^aimitate the ^1bevil, but the good. He who ²does ^cgood is ³of God; he who ⁴does evil has ^5dnot seen God.

1 John 5:4 — 2 John 1:2

4 For ¹everything that has been ²begotten of God ^3aovercomes the ⁴world; and this is the ^bvictory which has overcome the world — our ⁵faith.

5 And who is he who overcomes the world except him who ¹believes that ^aJesus is the Son of God?

6 This is ¹He who came through ^awater and ^bblood², Jesus Christ; not ³in the water only, but ³in the water and ³in the blood; and the ^cSpirit is He who ⁴testifies, because the Spirit is the ⁵reality.

7 For there are three who testify,

8 The Spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are ¹unto the one thing.

9 If we receive the ^atestimony of men, the ^1btestimony of God is greater, because this is the testimony of God that He has testified concerning His ^cSon.

10 He who ^1abelieves into the Son of God has the ^btestimony in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a ^cliar because he has ^dnot believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning His Son.

11 And this is the ^atestimony, that God ¹gave to us ^beternal life and this ^clife is in His Son.

12 He who ¹has the Son has the ^alife; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

13 I have written ¹these things to you that you may know that you have eternal life, to you who ^abelieve into the name of the Son of God.

14 And ¹this is the ²boldness which we have toward Him, that if we ^3aask anything according to His will, He hears us.

15 And if we ¹know that He hears us in whatever we ²ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not ¹unto death, he shall ^2aask and he ³will give ^4blife to him, to those sinning not unto death. There is a ⁵sin unto ^cdeath; I do not say that he should ^dmake request concerning that.

17 All ^1aunrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not unto death.

18 We know that everyone who is ¹begotten of God ^adoes not sin, but ²he who has been begotten of God ^3bkeeps himself, and the ⁴evil one does not ⁵touch him.

19 We know that we are ¹of God, and the ²whole ^aworld ³lies in the ^4bevil one.

20 And we know that the Son of God has ^1acome and has given us an ^2bunderstanding that we might ³know ⁴Him who is ^5ctrue; and we are ⁶in Him who is true, ⁷in His Son Jesus Christ. ⁸This is the ^dtrue God and ^eeternal life.

21 ¹Little children, ²guard yourselves from ^3aidols.

1 The ^1aelder to the ^bchosen ²lady and to her children, whom I ^clove in ^3dtruthfulness, and not only I but also all ⁴those who know the ⁵truth,

2 ¹For the sake of the ²truth which ^aabides in us and will be ^bwith us forever:
